Sunday we got lost in the woods?

Sunday we got lost in the woods. 🤣

​I met Joe De Sena, founder & CEO of Spartan Race,  and the crew at 5:30 am. He and I have been shooting videos in these woods since 2007, and old habits die hard. We hiked up to the peak with a couple of coaches, this summer's crop of kids, and the video crew (Alberto Campos and Andre.)

At the peak, the guys grabbed the video and photos they needed, and then Alberto and I started chatting. The next thing we knew, he and I had lost track of the group and had taken several random turns.

We were lost in the woods. Sort of. Lost in the sense that we didn't know where we were or which trail to take - but we knew the general direction we needed to go.

Here are the lessons:

☀️Knowing the general direction is enough to get you to your destination, even if you don't know the exact route.

☀️You never know where a story will find you, but it's usually not at home.

☀️Everything's better when you're outside, and everything's better when you can laugh.
